The new space we are building requires 2 very important partnerships as we move forward.
Our coffee partner creates an atmosphere of warmth and welcoming within the space, making the front of our building an extension of the university buildings around it. The coffeeshop will become a place where students feel they are at home. It becomes an easy place to invite other students into. Our desire is to remove barriers for unchurched students.
Our counseling partner creates stability for students who are in moments of crisis. This new counseling center will be a place where students feel seen and heard. The counselors themselves will be an important resource for our staff, but they will also be an important resource for the campus. Even the universities in our town are struggling to address this need.
Knowing how important it is for these partners to be aligned in our vision and values, this has been at the top of our prayer list for a very long time.
After 18 months of prayerfully exploring and looking for these partnerships, we’ve found them. And … in just a couple weeks … we’ll tell you who they are. (sorry for the tease)
This is such a huge answer to prayer. Thank you Lord for opening these doors!
